Datalogic Magellan 9900i
The low-profile successor to the 9800i, with Ethernet connectivity and AI-ready architecture.
The Magellan 9900i retains the low-bezel design of the 9800i for compact self-checkout terminals, with a 2D LED imager and automatic recognition of all common retail barcodes (EAN/UPC, Code 128, GS1 DataBar families, PDF417). It adds wired Ethernet connectivity and more energy-efficient electronics.
Launched alongside the 9600i as the new generation Magellan, the 9900i shares ScaleSentry building blocks and AllWeighs platters for anti-markup, with an architecture ready to accommodate future embedded AI features from Datalogic.
- 2D LED imager, low bezel (self-checkout)
- Wired Ethernet connectivity
- ScaleSentry and AllWeighs anti-slip decks
- 85 dB speaker for read confirmation
- Short/medium/long trays depending on the counter

Presentation scanners sit hands-free on a counter and read a code as soon as an item is held in front of them, speeding up retail and pharmacy checkouts. An omnidirectional field means no need to aim. Choose a model with the scan volume and counter footprint that match your point of sale.
